For my text portrait, I decided to do the actress Natalie Portman. I think she is so successful and I really like her. She is so beautiful, so I wanted to incorporate the word beautiful in my portrait. I wanted the word to flow, be dainty, and feminine. Instead of writing the word continuously, I had to draw each letter to fit the space. One thing I struggled with was my darker values. With her hair, I wanted to do big block letters of her name. I struggled with fitting the letter together to make sure there wasn't too much white space in between. This project was a challenge and took a lot of time and patience, however I am happy with how it turned out.
